On the 1st of February, the Brisbane chapter of the Beef and Burgundy Club met at the prestigious Vintaged Bar and Grill, inside the Hilton Hotel.
Vintaged offers a number of incredible dining spaces to suit any group size, and also features a large bar inside the hotel atrium. The Club was treated to the Wine Table: a large wooden dining table for up to 16 seated guests, featuring a stunning in-built ice well down the centre of the table. The table also overlooks the impressive 1000-bottle, glass-walled wine room, featuring a collection of some of the best Australian wine.
The food and beverage team at Hilton worked with the executive chef behind the scenes to create a unique meal to suit the theme of the club. Members were served a pan seared Darling Downs beef fillet, mixed mushroom gratin, pommes Anna, caramelised onion, and red wine jus. Each beef fillet was cooked to perfection, and in combination with the amazing sides, was difficult to fault. This was coupled with a 2015 Langmeil ‘Valley Floor’ shiraz from the Barossa Valley, which had members buying more bottles after the meal was finished.
After dinner, the wine continued to flow, and a great night was had by all.
